Nursing background, now exploring AI & tech, studying law, and figuring it out from Adelaide.

My Story

Hey — I'm Ashley. I'm based in Adelaide, South Australia, and for the past few years I worked as a registered nurse, mostly in aged care. I loved the people. I learned a lot about patience, leadership, and showing up when things are hard.

But I've taken a break from nursing to focus on AI and tech, and undertake legal training (JD). It's been a big shift — some days exciting, some days humbling. I'm learning to code, tinkering with electronics, studying how large language models work, and slowly building things I find interesting.

I don't have all the answers figured out yet, and that's okay. I'm drawn to the intersection of technology and care — how we can use these tools to genuinely help people, not just move fast. I started Hamily Holdings as a home for the projects and ideas I'm working on.

This little corner of the internet is where I share what I'm up to. Thanks for stopping by.

What I Care About

Learning

Always a student. Right now it's AI, law, and figuring out how they overlap. I love the feeling of not knowing something yet.

Electronics

Arduino, Raspberry Pi, blinking LEDs at 2am. There's something grounding about building physical things with your hands.

Family

Everything I do comes back to the people I love. They're my reason, my grounding force, and my biggest supporters.

My Projects

Things I'm building or tinkering with.

Mythdale

A browser-based RPG with idle skilling, offline progression, and achievement systems. My biggest creative project.

Hammy — LLM Assistant

A custom language model I'm training for personal use — trading insights, research, and general curiosity.

AI Trading Sandbox

Self-hosted paper trading setup with Ollama, PostgreSQL, Redis, and Grafana. Learning by doing.

Hardware Experiments

Arduino and Raspberry Pi builds — sensors, automation, and whatever catches my eye at the electronics store.

Tech I'm Into

Tools, languages, and platforms I'm learning or using.
